Catholic Schools Week Schedule 2008
We look forward to beginning our annual observance of Catholic Schools Week, a National celebration of all the ways CATHOLIC SCHOOLS help us LIGHT THE WAY. Daily, we will salute learning, highlight accomplishments, enjoy each other’s fellowship and honor those who help to make our school so outstanding. Please join us during the week. Students are to be in uniform Sun. through Wed.
BOOK FAIR in the convent opens Sunday after the 9 A.M. Mass. Sunday, January 27: FAITH LIGHTS THE WAY!9:00 liturgy at St. Louis School CENTER (formerly St. Louis Church) Distinguished Graduate Award will be presented. All students wear their school uniform Open House in both school buildings 10:15-12:15 (after Mass)
Monday, January 28: TEACHERS LIGHT THE WAY!PENNY CHALLENGE for cystic fibrosis, diabetes in children, infantile paralysis January 14-31. PLEASE SUPPORT THESE CAUSES. Mystery Teacher Day 8:15 to 9:00 A.M. Volunteer Luncheon at 12:30
Tuesday, January 29: FRIENDS LIGHT THE WAY!Buddy Day: Most classes will buddy up for BINGO. Spaghetti Dinner sponsored by A.P.T. 5:00-7:00
Wednesday, January 30: FAMILIES LIGHT THE WAY!Grandparents’ Day/Special Person Day 7:30 to 8 A.M. Refreshments for adults only in cafeteria. From 8 to 9 A.M. students may invite their guest to visit in their classrooms and refreshments will be found in the lobby. Grade 6 Science Fair in cafeteria (setup 12:30 to 1:30)
Thursday, January 31: THE SPIRIT LIGHTS THE WAY!Spirit Day: Students are allowed to bring to educational board games to be played TOGETHER, no “solo” games. SPIRIT PEP RALLY in the afternoon lead by Jr. High students wearing blue/gold. Grade 6 Science Fair from 8 to 10:30 in the cafeteria
Friday, February 1: ST. LOUIS SCHOOL LIGHTS THE WAY!Movie Day: With popcorn from 8 to 10:30 Appreciation Day. Teachers’ Breakfast: 6:30 to 7:45. Students wear pajama/comfy clothes. EARLY DISMISSAL: Teachers and students will be dismissed at 11!
